Advisory service
Decide what the technology is allowed to do before the pilots multiply.
Most organizations now have more artificial intelligence activity than oversight. We set the approval path, the data rules and the value test, so the work worth keeping continues and the rest stops early.
The problem
Activity is everywhere and accountability is nowhere.
- Pilots started in several functions at once with no shared record. Nobody can say what data went where, or which tools are still running.
- Review is either absent or applied to everything equally. Low risk work waits months and high risk work goes live unexamined.
- Value is claimed in hours saved that never appear in a budget or a plan. The board asks what the spending returned and gets a demonstration.
How the engagement works
A diagnostic sprint, then support through the first committee cycles.
Two to four weeks
Fixed scope on what is running and what it touches. See How We Engage.
Who we work with
The technology leader, legal and privacy, risk or audit, and the business owners running the furthest advanced use cases.
What we gather
Every use case in flight and its data sources, model and vendor terms, the controls already applied, and the duties specific to your industry.
What the board sees
A tiered risk model with an approval path for each tier, the use cases we recommend stopping, and how value gets measured after release.
What you get
Rules people can follow and a board can supervise.
- An inventory of current use cases and the data behind each one
- A governance charter with a tiered approval path
- Acceptable use and data handling standards
- A ranked adoption plan with a named owner per use case
- A quarterly board reporting pack
The charter is written against the National Institute of Standards and Technology AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001, so an auditor recognizes the structure.
Outcome
A commercial insurer had eleven pilots running across four functions and no record of which ones touched customer data. We set a tiered review, stopped four use cases outright, and concentrated the remaining effort on document intake where the volume was highest. Processing effort in that function fell 34 percent.
